Studio ee is dedicated to producing images that capture both precision and atmosphere. Guided by photographic research and culture, our work is informed by the traditions of painting, image making, and photography, while also embracing the possibilities of emerging technologies and optimised workflows.
Founded by Sebastian Tiew, the practice draws from his experience across film, design, entertainment, and architecture. Trained at the Architectural Association, where he now also teaches, Sebastian has been recognised for creating images and experiences that question traditional forms of representation while staying connected to the legacies of architectural drawing and photography.

The name ee comes from the Chinese character 毅 (yì), which speaks to perseverance and clarity of purpose. It reflects our approach to visualisation as a practice of resilience and intent, giving form to ideas with precision and artistry.
-
Studio ee represents an evolved approach to visualisation. We move beyond traditional, time-consuming processes by applying emerging technologies and streamlined workflows that allow for greater flexibility and creative freedom. Freed from rigidity, our practice adapts fluidly to the pace of design, enabling imagery that is both timely and refined.
- We see ourselves as a collaborative partner rather than a final-stage service. By engaging earlier in the design process, we are able to guide projects visually as they develop, accommodating change and responding to iteration. This process-led way of working ensures that the images we create are not just representations, but integral to the design journey itself.
- We produce still imagery for competitions, planning applications, and marketing documents, ensuring clarity and impact across different stages of a project. Beyond static images, we also create films, virtual reality environments, and interactive experiences that expand the ways architecture can be presented and understood.
